The Angara clan’s recent prominence in Aurora’s politican scene started in 1992 with Arturo Angara serving as Mayor. Since then, several members of the clan have recently occupied various positions such as Governor, Vice Governor, House Member, Mayor, and Councilor.


According to PSA's most recent data, slight improvement in the poverty situation in Aurora has been observed since 2006.
