Legal advocacy group Initiatives for Dialogue and Empowerment through Alternative Legal Services (IDEALS Inc.) urged the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) that inclusivity should be promoted in the online voter's registration by expanding the list of valid proofs of residence.

With the 2022 national elections fast approaching, the Ateneo School of Government, through Project Participate, will be having a webinar series this February that will feature international election personalities who will share their knowledge, experiences, and insights in ensuring the electoral processes continue even during the coronavirus pandemic.

"Participate is a program that aims to increase and enhance non-partisan political participation by the citizenry and civil society organizations as an essential element of true democratic governance. In the months ahead, we, as a consortium, will be organizing webinars, publishing journal articles, launching social media campaigns among others to reach our objectives of bolstering citizen oversight on the electoral process, increasing the availability and accessibility of information to promote informed voting, and supporting electoral reform and constituency-building."

To promote citizen participation and informed voting ahead of 2022 Philippine elections, the La Salle Institute of Governance will launch virtual knowledge workshops this January 2021.

Gearing up for the 2022 national polls, various civil society organizations, academe, government agencies, and other stakeholders met last December 2020 to discuss the challenges in holding the elections during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
